Software

The heart of the Watchtec System consists of its flagship sofware WATCHTEC for Windows.

This ONE system has the ability to monitor, track and document various activities related to Security (Guard Tours, Post Inspections, Access Control, etc), Fire Safety (Inspections, Testing, Discrepancies, etc), Building Management (Mainetenance Inspections, Engineering activities, etc), Housekeeping (Housekeeping Staff, Room Inspections, Supervisory Inspections, etc), and a host of other activities too numerous to name.  

The Watchtec System can also be utilized to track and identify Personnel, Locations, Equipment, Vehicles, Incidents, Discrepancies, Actions to be Taken, Instructions Given, and many other USER-DEFINED entities.

The system can generate various Activity and Systems reports.   All Activity reports answer the four most important questions:

WHO was the person that performed that activity?
WHAT activity was performed?
WHEN was the activity performed?   and.....
WHERE was the activity performed?

Beginning with the next version upgrade of our software, we will start adding the following capabilities:

Hardware

The user requires access to a PC with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP/NT and a printer (Laser preferred).

Watchtec offers a selection of the new state-of-the-art, portable, battery operated, hand held barcode scanners.  Depending on the User's requirements, any number of scanners can be used.

The scanners that are used with our system currently consist of the LaserLite and the LaserLite Pro.  We are in the process of adding many additional scanners that will be used with our software.  Check back to see what has been added.

Accessories / Peripherals

Accessories consists of Downloaders, Carrying Cases for the Scanners, Modems for Remote Downloading and Bar Code Labels.

The IR (Infra Red) Downloader attaches to a serial port on a PC to allow scans to be downloaded from the scanner to the Watchtec System.

Leather Carrying Cases (Holsters) are used for the scanners.
